Support our troops eh?

Hmmm... How does this all happen anyway? How does "support our troops" become "support our war." Anyone who blames any of this insanity on our enlisted soldiers and reserves would have to be insane themselves. I think everyone agrees. That's right... so, why do we fight about it? We're a bunch of suckers, that's why.

All of the politicians are sitting pretty. It doesn't matter what side you're on and it usually doesn't even matter if you're re-elected. You are connected for life. Does anyone dispute this? So how do we let this happen when a lot of us are struggling?

I propose that it's because we are all fighting each other about nonsense that our culture seems to encourage; "Support our troops," where there isn't even a fight, race, religion, politics. It's not in our interests to fight, we need to pay attention to the various power-mongers that our egging us on. They can't do it if we pay attention. It's transparent.

The 'troops' in large part are getting screwed, and we are all pissed about it. And who's fault is it that they're in such bad shape? All of them. Our 'elected representatives' that is. The soldiers families need help and the soldiers need relief, while tens of billions of dollars go missing in Iraq...

Anybody know where Paul Bremer is now?

So, something is clearly wrong with this picture. Sheesh.
