Vomitorium

50,000 bodies later...

Why?

Do 9/11 victim's families have to fight for an investigation?

Why?

Would 'the administration' be so unabashedly uncooperative?

Why?

Does it never skip a beat?

Why?

Does Saddam and 9/11 belong in the same sentence?

Why?

Do we never skip a beat?

Why?

Do yellow cakes and sophisticated, chemical-weapon yielding drone planes exist today and not tomorrow?

Why?

Are we neither surprised nor insulted?

Why?

*shrug*

You can defend it all, you really can. In the end, it is in our 'interests.' As best as our leaders have estimated anyway. There is very much debate, but it can still be defended for now...
Thing is, even if we achieved the ends with whatever means... Maybe we would achieve 'security', maybe we would all make a little more money and pay a little less for gas and everything else, but we always ignore that something never comes from nothing. There are lives paid, and suffering you could only imagine if you've been to war. The world is filled with sex-slaves, sweatshops, poverty, starvation. Hardly anyone in the world lives as 'well' as we do. Hell, we're hands down, Champion of the Universe Consumers. Where's Jesus when you need him. I hear 60% of Americans believe in the Bible as accurate history. I hear the president endlessly give props to the almighty. Can I please, please ask...

Why?
